The Annapolis Valley African Violet Society is a friendly group of house plant enthusiasts who enjoy growing and sharing gesneriads, including African violets, streptocarpus episcias (flame violets) kohlerias, sinningias etc. We share new hybrids and learn how to grow and care for these beautiful and unusual flowering plants. This is a low cost, low effort hobby, which is relaxing, mood enhancing and fun for people of all ages, including those no longer physically able to enjoy outdoor gardening. Come along and join us.
