Join Shelley from Freedom Miniatures and Season 3 of "Best in Miniature" for this 3-part workshop. One 2-hour class will be held each month, for 3 months (dates are Nov 18, Dec 16, and Jan 20 from 6:30-8:30 pm). Participants will have their choice of colour scheme and will be encouraged to finish the details of the bookend scene with their own miniature creations or ready-made items. The basic foundation of wall and floor will be supplied. Participants will add their flooring and wallpaper, wooden trim and window (provided). The table will be painted by participants after adding the decorative surface. The braided rug, seat cushion, shelf unit, wall cloak and calendar will also be made by participants with supplied materials. Note that the window in the sample is a facsimile, the actual window will have "glass" and proper construction!
Special Note: The workshop plan includes a take-home portion after the first session (braiding embroidery floss that will be used to make the braided rug). It also includes a challenge for all participants to make something at home between sessions 2 and 3. More details will be provided in class.
