This is a walking series for women and girls+ 14 years and older to discover the wonder, joy, and connection of the outdoors.
The hikes are geared to beginners; however, a base level of fitness is required. Participants should be able to walk consistently for 1 hour at a comfortable pace on uneven ground. Please wear appropriate footwear (no sandals). Dogs are not allowed on these hikes (with the exception of certified service dogs).
We will meet in the parking lot to the right of the Evergreen Home for Special Care for a walk in the Kentville Bird Sanctuary. These trails lead along a large pond & wetlands which provides ideal habitat for migrating birds and through forests. We might spot a turtle! Dress for the weather and be prepared to check for ticks after the walk.
