Remigio and Friends “A Concert of Compassion”

The past five years have decimated people’s lives, and ability to support themselves and their families. Musicians got together and donated their time and art to put on concerts helping local families with a month’s worth of groceries and essentials at Christmas. 100% of all proceeds go directly to help local families in the area that are either homeless and or in need.

Remigio Pereira – Biography (2025)
From humble beginnings performing in small restaurants on Preston Street in Ottawa to command performances at Windsor Castle and tea with Her Majesty the Queen, Remigio Pereira’s career can truly be described as a road less travelled.
A multi-platinum-selling, Juno Award–winning recording artist, Remigio has shared the stage with Sir Paul McCartney, Elton John, Celine Dion, Michael Bublé, Andrea Bocelli, David Foster, Sting, and many others. He has performed before Presidents Barack Obama, Bill Clinton, and George W. Bush, as well as The Queen of England, The Dalai Lama, and appeared on The Oprah Winfrey Show, performing alongside Celine Dion.
In 2017, Remigio was invited to the home of the late Lady Diana, where his single “I Did It for Peace” premièred as a performance dedicated to her memory.
As a singer, guitarist, producer, songwriter, and arranger, Remigio helped shape the signature sound of The Tenors (formerly The Canadian Tenors), which he co-founded in 2006. For a decade, he toured and recorded as part of the internationally acclaimed vocal group, achieving chart-topping success in the crossover and operatic pop genres. The Tenors performed at the 2010 Vancouver Olympics, the 2012 Emmy Awards, the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee, and for audiences around the world.
Remigio speaks five languages, allowing him to compose and produce music in multiple styles and tongues. He has collaborated with renowned songwriters such as Walter Afanasieff (Mariah Carey, Celine Dion), Marco Marinangeli, Bernie Herms, and Tawgs Salter (Josh Groban). His French ballad “Journées d’innocence” and the Portuguese fado “Nada Mais”, both written for his late father, appeared on the 2012 multi-platinum album Lead with Your Heart and the PBS concert special Under One Sky, filmed before 5,000 people at Caesars Palace.
