This is a walking series for women and girls+ 14 years and older to discover the wonder, joy, and connection of the outdoors.
The hikes are geared to beginners; however, a base level of fitness and appropriate winter gear is required. Participants should be able to walk consistently at a comfortable pace on uneven ground. So sorry, dogs are not allowed on these hikes (with the exception of service dogs).
Preregistration is required for this series and you can register anytime. By registering, you are not committing to participate all of the hikes.An email with details will be sent out 6 days prior to each hike - please RSVP if you plan to join. All people who have RSVPed by the Friday before each hike will receive a reminder email that may contain updates.
For our first Trail Magic walk of the new year, we will walk the Gaspereau River trail. This is an out-and-back track that follows the Gaspereau River and crosses various small creeks. Depending on the weather conditions, this trail can be muddy and icy. An email will be sent out closer to the date with gear recommendations. For this trail, hiking poles are recommended.
Location: Parking lot just past the bridge on Deep Hollow Rd (1945-1921 Deep Hollow Rd)
