Acadia School of Music’s Concert [&] Lecture Series will feature a performance by Eileen Walsh (clarinet/bass clarinet), Jack Chen (flute), and Mary Castello (piano) – a trio of AUSOM faculty members who have been collaborating for several years.
This performance centers around composers of African heritage that were influential in the trio's artistic development, including performers and teachers that inspired them. They will perform the Canadian premiere of David Baker's "And then" for bass clarinet and piano, "Cerulean Blues" for flute and piano by Maria Thompson Corley, "Troubled Water" for solo piano by Margaret Bonds, and "Portraits of Langston" by Valerie Coleman.
Concert & Lecture Series events are free and all are welcome to attend – please join us.
