Acadia School of Music Concert & Lecture Series presents “On Music and the Natural World” – a presentation by Dr. Michael Donovan.

With a background in Deep Ecology, composer, singer and musicologist Dr. Michael Donovan will share thoughts, music and reflections on the role of nature in music, and its importance in today’s world. A scholar on the depiction of nature in Franz Schubert’s poetic settings, Donovan’s past, current and future projects reflect an ongoing exploration of how music can play a role in fostering ecological awareness and providing solace in a changing world.
