This is a walking series for women and girls+ 9 years and older to discover the wonder, joy, and connection of the outdoors.
The hikes are geared to beginners; however, a base level of fitness and appropriate winter gear is required. Participants should be able to walk consistently for two hours at a comfortable pace on uneven ground. So sorry, dogs are not allowed on these hikes (with the exception of service/therapy dogs).
Preregistration is required for this series and you can register anytime. By registering, you are not committing to participate all of the hikes. An email with details of the location will be sent out 6 days prior to each hike - please RSVP if you plan to join. Everyone who has RSVPed by the Friday before each hike will receive a reminder email that may contain updates.
This week we will hike or snowshoe (depending on conditions) the trails on Irishman's Road Recreation Site. There are many lovely trails going through beautiful forests. There are some up and downs but, overall, it is fairly easy terrain.
