Caleb Miles (Bridgetown) Naming the Twins (Shelburne) and Roger Ellis with Tim Fancey (Margaretsville) in a celebration of Valley and South Shore performers. More info to come soon.
Roger Ellis has been writing and performing his own songs since he was a member of the (in)famous Shoretones in the 1990's. He was one of the singer-songwriters chosen for the Fundy Folk Songwriter's Project in 1996, the very first show held at the Evergreen. Since then, he has performed his songs with the backing of the of the Tidal Funk Orchestra at the very popular annual Evergreen benefit. Roger`s songs have been described as quirky, fun, and "crafty", and run the gamut from hurtin' songs to love songs, story songs to just plain nonsense.
Tim Fancey of Margaretsville adds bass guitar, beautiful harmonies and a whole lot of energy to Roger`s songs. Tim has also been a long time member of the Tidal Funk Orchestra and runs a successful horticulture business during the day.
Naming the Twins is a lively acoustic folk duo performing originals and familiar favourites all served up with heaps of fresh guy/gal harmony. The Twins never fail to entertain their audiences well, balancing thoughtful ballads with toe-tappin' numbers, transporting the listener with lyrical imagery and sweet harmonies.
