Spotted Salamander Field Trip

On a wet spring night, between March 21 and April 19, Spotted Salamanders will migrate to vernal ponds to breed. On this night, we will gather to observe and learn about the salamanders on the edges of the wet area nearby. If opportunities allow, we may assist them in avoiding the road, but at the very least we will learn more about these remarkable creatures from Blomidon Naturalist and biologist Lucy van Haaften.

If you are interested in joining this field trip, follow this link: https://docs.google.com/forms/u/2/d/1PGfVO7rTIqp6H2bU44t3bsbp8d6KHBeWZx9-f77XRmc/edit?usp=drive_web&ouid=102052473435735713468

When we can more adequately predict the timing of the Big Migration (likely one day in advance), we will send out a notice to all of our RSVPs.
