The Town of Berwick's Recreation Department is teaming up with Geoken and Ramblin 'Rose to provide a free outdoor adventure. Join us at the Berwick Town Hall for some exciting fun and our first Geocache Event: Intro to Geocaching. Geocaching is an outdoor treasure hunt where participants use a GPS device to “hide and seek” containers called geocaches. You will learn all there is to know about geocaching, browse a display table, and get the chance to look for local geocaches!

1:00pm- until participants find the Treasure(around 4:00pm)
N45 02.784 and W64 44.153

The Introduction to Geocaching session will be directed to people recently involved in Geocaching, or those looking to learn more. Enthusiasts will instruct a two-part session for all ages on Geocaching with a classroom training session followed by an outdoor field session. Participants are encouraged to bring a GPS as there will only be a limited supply available.

The indoor session will include:
• Introduction to geocaching
• How to get started
• GPS Overview
• Trackables
• Etiquette principles

Take home handouts will cover details step by step, assisting in exploring beyond the introductory level. At the end of the session, we'll move outdoors with GPS units in hand to begin our journey of discovery...ending with the "find" of actual geocaches located nearby in the Town. A team of experienced field assistants will be on hand to ensure everyone gets as much personal attention as necessary to make their first geocaching expedition a success!
