Join us for a paddle out of Jubilee Park in Bridgetown.
Join us as day turns into night on the Annapolis River.
Join Paul for a guided paddle on the Annapolis River as the day turns to night. We will explore the tides and meanders of this historic river. The river at dusk awakens with nocturnal animals and is an experience many people have never had.
The only lights allowed will be a red light as we want to experience the evening without light pollution.
There will be a limited number of boats to use for this event, for those of you who do not have one. So you will need to email [email protected] with your request of a boat and we will let you know on a first come first serve basis if there is a boat available for you. If you have your own boat then we look forward to seeing you on the water!
Tickets are available here: https://www.eventbrite.ca/e/barter-based-session-day-turns-to-night-river-paddle-tickets-1989825864726
If this is your first time attending a barter-based class, note that attendees are encouraged to bring an item(s) to offer in exchange for the knowledge shared in addition to any supplies required for the class. Our facilitator's preferred items are listed below to help identify fair trades:
Food only, including alcohol, meat, cheese, fermented foods, veggies, fruits, honey, baked goods, home made herbal tea mixes and other dried herbs. No jams please.
Items for the Community Pantry are always appreciated: cereals, canned meats, dish soap, rice, oatmeal, canned veggies , crackers, granola bars, apple sauce, juice boxes, milk, yogurt, cheese.
There is no fee associated with this ticket but please do not just indicate "coming" on the event - we've found this is not an accurate capture of attendees. If you have any difficulty registering you can send us an email to [email protected] or Annapolis Valley Folk School on facebook.
