Join us at our Nova Scotia Works Centre for an informative session designed to help parents, caregivers and adult champions of youth navigate the changing world of work alongside high school students.
Facilitated by our Nova Scotia Works School Liaison, this workshop draws on firsthand experience supporting students in local schools. The session presents information, conversations and insight designed to help participants open dialogue and encourage career curiosity with teens at home and in the community.
What we'll cover:
The Nova Scotia Works School Liaison role: learn how we provide direct, firsthand support to students within local high schools
myBlueprint: Get a look at the platform your youth is already using in school to track their goals and interests.
The Career Decision-Making Cycle: Understand how this framework applies to teenagers and how to use it to reduce "future stress"
Reliable Data: Where to find the most accurate and up-to-date labour market information
Participants will gain insight into relevant platforms, trends, and sources of information that they can use to encourage career conversations with youth.
There is no cost to attend, but please register so we are prepared for you. 1-866-609-9675 or [email protected]
Due to extreme sensitivities, we are a scent-free space. Please do not wear scented products when you visit.
