The Digby Museum weekend event has been published. It promises to be a great weekend. Everyone is welcome. GCBPRJN
All cachers are invited to enjoy a day exploring Digby, Nova Scotia. The Digby Museum Challenge Celebration weekend will involve a geocaching challenge followed by a potluck at the Digby Museum. Additional details will be added to this page when they are confirmed, but the proposed plans for the day are listed here.
Attendees will be invited to find two, 5-location Adventure Labs focusing on the history of Digby, which will be published on the day. Find all the Adventure Labs for your chance to win some prizes.
Attendees may also look for some other caches that will be published on the day in nearby Digby. There will be bonus prizes for the additional caches.
Make sure to take photos of monuments and special-interest markers at all your stops, as there will be a game once you return to the museum.
10:00 am - Museum opens for Blueberry Palooza & start of geocaching hunt
10:00 am - 2:00 pm- Optional tours of the Museum
2:00 pm - Digby Parade in front of the Museum
3:00 pm - 4:00 pm - Geocaching Potluck & Prizes
This weekend coincides with Digby Scallop Days, and all visiting geocachers are welcome to take part in the weekend's activities. The Digby Scallop Days festival is the area's longest-running festival, celebrating scallops, the fishing industry and the people. It is celebrated over a four-day period, starting on Thursday and ending on Sunday.
The theme for 2026 hasn't been announced yet, but details for the festival will be added as they are confirmed.
