Discover where textile art meets sustainability at the Creative Reuse Lab, an intimate one-day gathering in the Annapolis Valley celebrating natural materials, local fibre arts, and waste diversion. Artists, sustainability advocates, and community members come together to reimagine our relationship with "waste."
Explore The Flax Project(2-6pm), an exhibition of textile pieces made from locally grown and processed flax that traces the full journey from plant to finished artwork. Roll up your sleeves for a hands-on natural dye workshop(3-5pm), where you'll transform food scraps like coffee grounds, avocado pits, onion skins, and vegetable peelings into vibrant fabric dyes and leave with a take-home dyed piece and pigment. Then join our panel(5-6pm), Rethinking Materials and Art in the Mundane, featuring local artists.
