Socialism & social change in the valley, from past to present

A series of lectures and discussions ranging from labour history to environmental justice. Inspired by folk artist, socialist, and concrete pioneer Charles Macdonald

Presenters to be announced soon at concretehouse.ca/what-s-happening

Charles Macdonald was a folk artist, socialist, and activist who used concrete both as an artistic medium and as a revolutionary material. Macdonald viewed concrete as a challenge to the capitalist system, describing it as something permanent and durable. To continue his legacy of advocating for social change, we will host speaker to share about working class history, social activism, environmentalism, and how artists and the working class play a role in social movements. This will be followed by a chance for audience Q&A/discussion.

This event will be pay-what-you-can (suggested $5-15 donation)
