A Celebration of Creativity Through the Winter Season
As the days grow shorter and the first signs of winter settle across the Avon River, Long Winter Nights returns as one of the Avon River Arts Society's most anticipated annual traditions.
Each year, Society members transform the warm, welcoming spaces of The Bread Gallery into a vibrant celebration of local creativity. This members-only exhibition showcases an inspiring collection of original artwork, reflecting the remarkable diversity of artists who call our community home.
Visitors will discover paintings, drawings, photography, fibre and textile art, pottery, sculpture, woodworking, jewellery, printmaking and mixed media, each offering a unique perspective and a glimpse into the creative spirit of our region.
More than an exhibition, Long Winter Nights is an invitation to slow down, explore and connect. Wander through the gallery, meet local artists, discover new favourites and experience the warmth and creativity that flourish even during the quietest months of the year.
Whether you're searching for the perfect handmade gift, adding a new piece to your collection or simply enjoying an afternoon surrounded by beautiful artwork, you'll find something to inspire you.
Join us for the Opening Reception at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 1, 2026, and celebrate the beginning of another memorable exhibition season.
The exhibition continues through December 31, 2026, providing plenty of opportunities to return throughout the holiday season and experience the incredible talent of the Avon River Arts Society's members.
