Acadia University School of Music presents Thunder and Lightening on Wednesday November 4 at 7:30pm in the Festival Theatre (504 Main street, Wolfville, NS). This is a joint concert by the Acadia University Orchestra directed by Dr. Tristan De Borba and the Four Seasons Community Orchestra directed by Roger Taylor. Featuring a diverse set of repertoire including Joseph Cheukman Lai’s Big Brown Eyes, Loiuse Farrenc Douxiéme Ouverture, Roger Taylor’s Nordic Fantasy with baritone saxophone soloist Tristan De Borba, and concluding with a combined orchestra performance of Johann Strauss II's Thunder and Lightening Polka.
