Event in Room: Art Gallery
We’re excited to present a joint exhibition featuring local artists Karen Phillips Curran and Lisa Tanner. Join us for their show, Weathered/In Bloom.
Karen’s watercolours explore sun-drenched architecture and landscapes, each piece capturing a sense of pause and the fleeting moment where time stands still. Based in Bear River, Nova Scotia, Karen’s work has been widely exhibited, and her artistic journey spans stage set painting, murals, photography, and graphic arts.
Lisa Tanner, a lifelong resident of the Annapolis Valley, turned to painting daily after retiring from nursing. She has pursued oil painting studies with Ron Hayes and now works in oils, acrylics, and watercolours. Lisa’s practice is based in her home studio, at ArtCan, or en plein air. Her latest body of work is inspired by her abundant perennial gardens.
