Acadia's Singing Theatre Ensemble will be presenting, in English, this delightful one act opera, by G.Carol Menotti.
Amahl is a touching story about a young crippled boy who lives with his widow Mother in a small hut. He is a typical 12 year old boy who enjoys telling tales using his vivid imagination, however, one special evening they are visited by three Wiseman and the miracle of the season unfolds. Menotti writes with such beauty and humour that it is a perfect opera for first time opera goers and children of all ages. You will be enchanted!
