The exhibition highlights Inuit works of art from the permanent collection of the Acadia University Art Gallery. Works on paper will be examined within the context of artist cooperatives, which helped to develop a strong market for Inuit prints. Sculptures will be explored both in how they help to illustrate the culture of the Inuit, but also how the works reflect cultural hybridization. The exhibition, Rock, Paper, Scissors: Inuit Art at Acadia will mark the first time this diverse collection has been explored in depth. Catalogue available.
