The Nova Scotia Nature Trust and the Town of Wolfville have partnered with Recreation Nova Scotia to Take The Roof Off Winter with a day of snowshoeing in one of Nova Scotia’s beautiful protected areas.

Join us for a snowshoe hike in the Wolfville Watershed Nature Preserve on Saturday, January 21st. We will meet in the parking lot of the Nature Preserve (end of Forest Hill Road, Gaspereau) at 10am the hike starts at 10:30. There will be presentations and nature interpretation by local naturalists Bernard Forsythe, Ruth Newell (Acadia University) and Reg Newell (DNR Wildlife Division) and hikes lead by IMBA certified trail leaders Ryan Lindh and Michelle Marcinkiewicz.

Trivia and prizes to be won! The Wolfville Scouts will be on site demonstrating Quinzhee building techniques. Warm up with hot drinks in an onsite Yurt!

Snowshoes available with registration, numbers are limited so book early by emailing alice@nsnt.ca

If there is no snow, the event will proceed as a hike.
