CentreStage presents: Mr. Pim Passes By
Set in the 1920's drawing room of an English country home, the simple plot has to do with whether the mistress of the house's second marriage is a bigamous one, since her first husband may not be dead. This intelligence is delivered by the nervous, cuddly Mr. Pim, who periodically returns to add to the chaos he began. Mr. Pim Passes By is a delightful comedy written by A.A. Milne (of Winnie the Pooh fame).
Set in the charming day of the fashionable 1920's, the personal foibles and personalities of the characters will keep the audience in suspense. The audience will find itself laughing and chuckling all the way through the performances, identifying eccentricities and errors they could well identify in their own lives. The audience will be riveted to the grandeur of Aunt Julia, the insensitivity of George, the love and care of his wife, Olivia, and the innocence of Mr. Pim as he stirs the pot of a cauldron of human personalities. Although there is nothing in the show that is offensive to children, it is most appropriate for those nine and older who would likely understand the storyline.
Mr. Pim Passes By is directed by Roger Prentice and stars LeRoy Heffernan, Nancy Henry, Sherrie Howatt, Emily Oickle Fong, Alex Trimper, Samantha Vinqvist and Bob Cook. This show is sponsered by Pizzazz Bistro.
Mr. Pim Passes By opens on Friday, April 20th and continues playing Friday and Saturday nights at 8pm until May 26th. There will be Sunday 2pm matinees on May 6th and 20th. To make reservations phone 678-8040.
