CentreStage Theatre Presents: Little Red
Who ever heard of a vegetarian wolf?
Lani Brockman and Susan Bardsley have teamed up to bring another classic twisted fairy tale. "I wanted something good and funny, shticky jokes," Brockman says. "We wanted plays that would keep the parents awake and wanting to come back, too.” How many times can a parent sit through a typical Little Red Riding Hood?
Using the same storyline, this version of Little Red uses wholesome, yet realistic, characters. It is full of toe-tapping music, and is active and short enough to keep children's attention, with plenty of wiggle and giggle space.
All of this makes CentreStage’s production of Little Red a great family show. It is appropriate for kids aged three and older.
Little Red is co-directed by Sharon Churchill Roe and Candy O’Brien and stars Brooke Cogswell, Michelle Grandy, Cassidy Lohnes and Aleta MacDonnell. Musical accompaniment is by Steve Roe. The show runs on; Saturday, June 23 (11am, 2pm); and Sunday, June 24 (2pm).
To make reservations phone 678-8040. For more information visit www.centrestagetheatre.ca.
