Acclaimed guitarist, composer and multi-instrumentalist Daniel Heïkalo is leaving Nova Scotia for good... He will be offering us a farewell free concert at the Evergreen, July 11th at 8pm. A freewill donation will be suggested.
Daniel has lived in the Annapolis Valley for thirty years and decided to make the move back to his native land, Québec, to pursue artistic endeavours with his wife Tamara. Daniel will perform mostly on acoustic and classical guitar and cittern, drawing from a repertoire of original compositions going back forty years and telling stories about his stay in NS and the origins of the compositions.
The concert is sponsored by Nova Scotia Heritage, culture and communities
Daniel has been called "one of Nova Scotia's musical treasures" by Norm Adams, composer and first cellist with Symphony Nova Scotia. Come and hear why.
