Learn to preserve all that has been growing all summer: it will be a night of seeds, pickling, canning and fermenting! We will have preserving the harvest handouts, lacto-fermentation and seed threshing demonstrations, as well as 'Ask the Expert' with Vicki McNamara of Farm Girl Preserves & Amy Lounder regarding root cellaring. And to tempt the taste buds we will have complimentary samples of delicious preserved treats available in the tent and throughout the market! Artist Rachel Reeve of LADYBIRD Art will be onsite to make corncob prints with the kids! All of this alongside the opportunity to purchase tomatoes, cucumbers and other produce in quantity for your own pickling pleasure as well as a quick and easy Market Supper with your community.
