Sarah Pound is a singer/songwriter from Wolfville who has just finished her first compilation of songs. Sarah will be having her CD release concert "It's About Time". Sarah describes her music as easy listening folk music with a touch of jazz and bluegrass.
Daniel Heikalo, multi-instrumentalist, composer, recording engineer, says: “Sarah Pound is a former guitar student of mine. She is a natural, with a knack for warm, live performances. Her songs are well crafted and she has a gift for melody and harmony. I think of Sarah as someone who, surrounded by the right musicians, will do very well in the music world, not only because of her material, but because of who she is, her personality, attitude and demeanour. I recently recorded what was to be a demo for her, and she is releasing it as a short run. What I hear is a very promising young woman songwriter.”
