Get nourished at our Wednesday Community Night @ the Market where you will find 30 vendors, our $10 Market Suppers, a Busker, Kids Corner and Speaker Series.
Speakers Series (5:30-6:30): Gardening for People and the Planet with Melanie Priesnitz, Conservation Horticulturist at the Harriet Irving Botanical Gardens
You buy local food, support local business and now it’s time to start supporting local plants and wildlife. Learn how to create an oasis for native flora and fauna in your backyard. Gardening for People and the Planet is an educational talk that will inspire you to help restore the Acadian Forest by making good plant choices for your backyard garden.
Kids Corner (5pm-7pm): Fresh Face. Welcome to the new Kid's Corner at the Wednesday market. Tonight's activities will include the creation of face masks, using paper mache and balloons. The masks will be started then painted the following week or at home. Game boards will also need to be created to store and be used during other Kid's Corner events.
Busker (5pm-7pm): Donna Holmes
Every Week:
The $10 Market Supper (4pm-7pm): Just pay $10 dollars and in return get complimentary bread and salad plus $10 in coupons that you can use with any different vendor on any Wednesday. The Market Supper is enjoyed with real plate, cutlery, water glass and community seating.
30 Vendors (4pm-7pm): 10 prepared food vendors offering Market Supper options plus fruit, veggies, meat (pork, beef, chicken), eggs, tofu, bread, milk, cheese, cider, coffee, tea, soaps, woolens, jewelry, spices, kids chalk and play dough and more.
