Its Farmers’ Market Week in Nova Scotia and to celebrate, the Wolfville Farmers’ Market is having a Sustainability Fair. Learn about sustainability initiatives and innovations being cultivated, discovered and used in the Valley. Come for your Market Supper and learn what practices and tools you can use to make sustainable lifestyle choices on your land, in your life and in your home through the speakers series and through meeting and talking with people in over ten organizations. There will be a ticket draw for prizes, a farm animal petting area outside the Market, $1 off Market Bags and lots of sustainable groceries and hand-made gifts thanks to 30 awesome vendors!

Composting with Valley Waste Management (6:00-6:15) How to compost and what happens with your Municipal Compost
Efficiency NS (6:15-6:30): Efficiency NS programs that you can tap into as you renovate your homes
Sustainable Design with Will Laing of Green Army Design (6:30-7:00): sustainable design decisions that can be made around the house also talk about what small scale local energy production.
Kids Corner: Kids will be making piggy banks out of recycled containers.
