To mark Co-op Week, the Annapolis Valley Cooperative Network is hosting a second Co-op Market and Film Night. This open-invitation event will shed light on the many benefits co-operatives bring to our Annapolis Valley economy. An evening of food, education, fellowship and film will celebrate co-ops in our community.

The event features meet-and-greet displays. Co-op presenters will offer draw prizes and a panel of co-op members will discuss “Why be part of a Co-op?”

Free films presented at the Acadia Cinema Co-op’s Al Whittle Theatre will feature NFB animated shorts from 5 - 7pm followed at 7 – 8:30pm by Shift Change. This important new documentary tells the little known stories of employee-owned businesses that compete successfully in today’s economy, providing secure, dignified jobs in democratic workplaces.
