Sledge Hockey Game
Saturday February 14, 2009  6:30pm - 7:15pm (45 Minutes)
Music

For the first time ever in Nova Scotia, an interleague sledge hockey game is finally being played. Come be part of Nova Scotia sport history and watch as the Acadia Minor Hockey Association youth sledge hockey team hosts the Dartmouth Whalers at Kentville Arena. Come out and cheer us on, learn about a different way to play hockey, and help make hockey history!

"Sledge hockey is the Paralympic version of ice hockey, and is played mainly by athletes with a physical disability affecting their legs. Players use a bucket shaped seat on a metal frame with skate blades mounted on the bottom, and two hockey sticks to propel themselves and play the puck. It is fast and physical, and follows the same rules as traditional hockey."

50/50 tickets will be on sale to help fund our team's ice, travel and equipment expenses.
