Come in costume to Market for a chance to win Hallowe'en Treats and Market Money!  We will have pumpkin bowling, pumpkin painting and special Hallowe'en Treats for the kids.  Donna Holmes will perform live and Cathy Dunbar will be teaching Pumpkin Carving 101 just in time for Hallowe'en.

Speakers Series (5:30-6:30):  Pumpkin Carving 101:  Tricks of the Trade with Cathy Dunbar

Cathy Dunbar has been carving and sculpting pumpkins for over 10 years for the sheer enjoyment. For the past two years she has carved or sculpted 100+ pumpkins for display on her front lawn in Hantsport.

“I use very simple tools that can be purchased at the local craft stores and grocery stores before Halloween. I will be demonstrating the transferring of patterns and the carving of the pattern for your own displays.

I will also be giving tips on getting your pumpkins to last in your displays. Due to time limits, there will be no public carving but there will be a couple of pumpkins available to try your hand at sawing the designs.”

Cathy will also have some of her amazing sculpted pumpkins available for viewing.
