The Annapolis Valley Chapter of Autism Nova Scotia is pleased to present a Social Stories Make-and-Take Workshop, led by Joanne Porter, Autism Consultant with the Annapolis Valley Regional School Board. You will learn how social stories can diffuse problem behaviours, help with transitions and aid in the understanding of social situations. Each participant will make a social story and take the finished product home with them at the end of the workshop. The session is free of charge and childcare will be provided for those who require it. Priority will be given to parents/guardians of individuals with an Autism Spectrum Disorder but we will also welcome interested professionals as long as space allows. You must pre-register.
