Musical Theatre Workshop
Saturday March 28, 2009  9am - 5pm (8 Hours)
Music

The Annapolis Valley Music Festival committee is sponsoring a musical theatre workshop in partnership with CentreStage Theatre. The workshop concludes with a performance open to the public at 4pm.

Noted international coach and performer Cynthia Myers, now of Chester, will spend the day teaching general techniques as well as working with each student individually. This is an opportunity for people to brush up on their musical theatre skills, or for local performers to burnish the songs they have entered in the music festival.

Applicants must state the work they are bringing, provide music and their own lunch. We will provide bottled water and snack. An accompanist will be provided and following the workshop the students will give a public performance of their pieces. The workshop is open to children, youth and adults alike.

The workshop fee is $25 and applications should be submitted to Lana Churchill. Application forms can be obtained by checking the websites www.avmf.ca or www.centrestagetheatre.ca or by calling or emailing Lana Churchill jchurchill@ns.sympatico.ca or 542-2186.
