Now an annual event, residents of Annapolis Valley are being called on to safely rid their homes of unwanted and outdated medications (prescription and over-the-counter) on Saturday, May 10. Residents are encouraged to take advantage of the convenient drop-off locations on May 10 or to visit their local pharmacy at any time for safe disposal.
The event is being supported by AVHA, Kentville Police, RCMP and your community pharmacist.
Secure drop-off stations will be located throughout the Valley from 10 am – 3 pm on Saturday, May 10:
• Berwick – Fire Hall
• Bridgetown – Pharmasave, 264 Granville St
• Kentville – Fire Hall
• Kingston – Fire Hall
• Middleton – Pharmasave, 26 Commercial Street
• Wolfville – Elm Avenue Parking Lot
Residents are strongly encouraged and reminded to adopt safe drug disposal as regular practice and to speak with their pharmacist about safe disposal programs at their local pharmacy.
