The Kings Historical Society Annual General Meeting.
Following the meeting we will invite our guest speaker Karen Miles Porter to share her stories and collection of compacts. Many of our members and museum visitors will remember the wonderful exhibit the museum had of Karen’s compacts last fall. Various compacts have also been on display over the years at Porter’s Clothing in Wolfville. Karen has a collection of over 250 compacts and each carries a special story, which cannot be told by display alone. Her collection began quite accidentally at the age of 10. Come listen to a passionate collector spin stories and show you some of her favourites!
