Acadia University Chorus to Present John Rutter’s Requiem
On Palm Sunday the Acadia University Chorus, conducted by Michael Caines, will perform an afternoon of sacred music. The featured work in this concert will be John Rutter’s Requiem. This is a beautiful, emotional and highly appropriate piece for this Lenten Season.
The concert also features sacred music by Handel, Purcell, Elgar and a new work by composer Tarik O’Regan. Performing alongside the University Chorus will be guest musicians; Wayne Rogers, organ, Karen Rokos, harp, Rebecca Li, cello and Christianne Rushton, mezzo-soprano.
