Come and join us as the Wolfville Historical Society concludes its 1914: War Comes to Wolfville Film Friday events with a showing of the 1930 film All Quiet on the Western Front. Based on the novel of the same name by author Erich Maria Remarque, the film is directed by Lewis Milestone and stars Louis Wolheim, Lew Ayres, and John Wray. It follows the experiences of German soldiers and is considered a realistic account of warfare in World War One. So powerfully realistic is the film that it was once remarked that it should be shown in every country until the word "war" was no longer part of the human vocabulary.
All members of the public are invited to attend. Admission is free however donations are welcome.
