The Market is embarking upon an “It IS easy being Green” challenge to reduce waste at the Market. Bring your own forks and spoons, plates, cups and cloth napkins.
Got extra food storage containers, cloth bags, mason
jars and travel mugs you’re no longer using? We’d love to share your extras with those who may need them. We will also be initiating a new rinsing station set up for you to rinse your recyclables so they can actually be properly recycled or rinse your dishes before you go home.
Help us in this challenge to reduce the amount of waste that is
collected at the Market. We are aiming to reduce Saturday's garbage in half (from 13 bags of waste and one-time-use disposables to 7 bags). We can do this with your help.
Become a the Waste Warrior that our planet needs us all to be in order to keep things as beautiful and clean as possible for future generations.
Share your waste Warrior efforts with CBC's What a Waste program hosted by Dr. Torah Kachur: We want to hear your story! Tweet @DrTorahKachur, use the hashtag #WasteWarrior
on Twitter, Facebook or Instagram, or comment below. Share your Waste Warrior pictures, videos and how-tos on CBC's Waste Warrior.
