At our weekly Wednesday Community Night @ the Market.we have 30 vendors (representing all product categories), our $10 Market Suppers, Kids Corner,  Chantal Peng performing live and this week’s Speaker’s Series is on Malting:  “Grain to Glass”  with Al Stewart of Stewart’s Organics.

Speaker’s Series (5:30pm):  New Malt House with Alan Stewart of Stewart Organic’s

The Horton Ridge Malt & Grain Co. will be a certified organic malt house in Hortonville Nova Scotia, serving the craft brewing and distilling communities with quality organic malted grains.  Currently there are virtually no locally grown grains used on the production of Atlantic Canadian craft beers, with malts imported from Western Canada, the USA and Europe.  The ability to produce malt from locally grown organic malting grains will allow for a genuine Atlantic Canadian “grain-to-glass” experience.  Locally produced malt will allow the craft brewing and distillation industries further enhance their positive impact on our local economies by spending their malt dollars here.

Busker (5pm-7pm): Chantal Peng
