From Acadian to Albanian, together we will be showcasing, celebrating, sharing and learning about the many cultures that are part of our history and part of our community.
The Wolfville Farmers’ Market is always a multi-cultural celebration with so many of our vendors sharing their cuisine and culture from around the world, but for Heritage Night we take delight in expanding the celebration.
Learn about African Nova Scotian history and community services with VANSDA. Children can try on period costumes from the Grand Pre National HIstoric Site. Find out the facts, myths or legends of Cape Blomidon. Mi’Kmaq artists will have artwork for sale. Thanks to a partnership with Immigrant Settlement and Integration Services (ISIS), we will meet two internationally trained chefs who now live in Wolfville as they share samples of Sri Lankan and Albanian/Mediterranean cuisine at our Good Food Hub Kitchen.
With the $10 Market supper enjoy a complimentary serving of salad and Lis’knikn or Luski (a traditional Mi'kmaq bread served with stewed blueberries) from Glooscap First Nation.
