Swingology plays light and lively acoustic gypsy swing with finesse, personality and humour. Their highly entertaining shows evoke the dance halls of Paris in the1930s when swing was king, and when gypsy guitarist Django Reinhardt and violinist Stephane Grappelli reigned as members of the Quintet of the Hot Club. Swingology’s repertory ranges from classics of the swing era and Django originals to popular tunes and contemporary movie/TV themes, all offered by a great local band in an inventive and irresistible gypsy jazz style that appeals to audiences of all ages.
