A star falling from the heavens was enough to turn The Star Keeper into a little miracle. For over fifteen years, Pretzel, a funny little worm with a funny little face has travelled the roads and skies of the whole world.
Pretzel’s world, created through the magic of images, shadows and light, is inhabited by comical, surprising and touching characters. A spider who tap dances in the belly of a man, a mermaid playing hard to get at a fish ball, a family of picnicking seahorses, a temperamental baby and a dignified lady who is very, very old enchant and entertain.
Quebec’s Théâtre de l’Oeil’s delightful performance is suitable for all ages. Without relying on conventional words, the puppets, music, scenography and special effects create their own poetic language to share the story of a hero’s quest. The result is theatre for young audiences at its best - the award-winning show has visited ten countries.
