This year’s Fezziwig Society production, Scrooge - Back to the Future, is a reworked adaptation of Dickens’ A Christmas Carol. Our playwright, Jeremy Webb, has been presenting his version of this holiday classic for some years now, but he has given us a brand new hilarious take on it.
It is still Scrooge and Tiny Tim and a variety of ghosts - and a lesson on the values of the Christmas season - but things go slightly awry when Scrooge realizes he regrets the choice he made as a young man to concentrate on money as opposed to love. Can his life be reversed? And if HE changes, what becomes of everyone else? It’s the paradox of time travel and maybe even the space-time continuum!
However it all comes out, there will be lots of music and dancing and laughing - and maybe even an audience sing-along.
