I recently accepted the challenge to join Team Diabetes at the 2015 Kauai Marathon. I'm doing this for two reasons: to challenge myself physically and to raise funds for a great cause.

Diabetes is quickly becoming one of the fastest growing health epidemics in the world, and every hour of every day more than 20 people are diagnosed with this devastating disease. In Canada, there are over nine million people who are living with diabetes or prediabetes. The Canadian Diabetes Association will put the funds that I raise to work by helping people with diabetes live healthy lives while it works to find a cure.

You can help me reach my fundraising goal of $6,100.00 by donating a new or hand crafted item or attending the ticket auction.
