Ron Edmunds

Saturday June 27, 2009  10am - 1pm (3 Hours)
Music All Ages

From Port Williams, Ron is originally from Cape Breton. He came from a family that has roots in music and the sea. His father was a sea captain and came home with a guitar for him when he was twelve. A lot of my early influences came from his older brother John. He taught him three cords and bought him a Beatles book. This got him started.

Ron has played Folk & Blues. His influences are Cat Stevens, Tom Petty, Bob Dylan and of course Jimi Hendrix. He’s played in bands and as a single in Cape Breton and here in the Valley, his second home, for half his life. Some of these bands were The Four Fathers, Ron Edmunds Band, and New Relics.
