Game Space (www.gamespaceav.ca) is for all ages over 8 years of age. (8-12 year olds should be accompanied by a parent - parents get in for free and family rates are also available). Tournaments happen Friday between 9 - 4pm and then Saturday has fantastic light shows and eye candy, workshops on Anime Graphics, New Games and Indy Games, Newest in Board Games, Fantasy Games, talking with Indy Game Makers, Game Theory and Programming with Python. Cosplay and a Game Quest will also be going on throughout the day, where participants are the game players within LMCC game building. There will be food available for $1.50 and up (Hot Dogs, Pizza, Tacos, and a chef on site that will be creating a mix of international finger foods to help us go around the world in a day - starting the day off with cinnamon bites and internat'l coffee).
There will be demos of the latest gaming equipment and sessions on newest User Interface and Augmented Reality Games. There will be vendor stations with everything from Anime and Graphic Novels, to remote control games with robots, Retro Atari Games, Retro Equipment (...history of), Table Games (learn about the coolest board games out there), Fantasy Games, Jewellery, LARP (Live Action Role Playing Game Costume Designers) and lots of Game Space stuff. There will also be prizes and a resource manual (and hopefully T-Shirt included in the $25 ticket) to take home, so that you can continue to investigate and grow in game making and game playing with the support of groups within the area.
