Fiber Arts Day-camp with artist and educator Margaret Forsey.
Felting, dyeing, finger-knitting and more!
At this camp, children will experiment with crafting techniques using wool fleece and yarn. We will try wet felting, needle felting, dyeing wool (with kool-aid!), finger-knitting, and pom-pom making. There will also be a spinning demonstration, a tour of the Acadia Art Gallery summer exhibit on illustration in children’s picturebooks, and plenty of time for free play and games outside.
Ages 7-12
9am - 4 pm the week of July 27 - July 31
Instructor:
Margaret Forsey received her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from NSCAD in 2006. She makes hooked rugs and has exhibited them across Canada. Margaret has taught children's art camps at many locations including Ross Creek Center for the Arts, the Harriet Irving Botanical Gardens, Acadia University Art Gallery, and the Wolfville Rec Center.
