Leave No Trace (LNT)

Leave No Trace builds awareness, appreciation and respect for our wild lands. This three hour course is a hand on course for all participating. Course is designed to teach awareness and provide skills in how to leave no trace of human activities, minimizing impact to the environment.
Introduction to Leave No Trace Canada, providing a brief history of the role this non-profit group plays throughout Canada. The seven principals of awareness will be outlined demonstrating minimalism, safety and skills knowledge that will improve any outdoor experience. Suitable course for most ages, some restrictions apply for younger children. (Parent must attend).
Physical activities include walking on even and uneven terrain. Standing, some hill work, carrying items, and travel distances of 1-3 km. Please dress appropriately as activities will be in the woods. Long sleeves, covered legs, hat, closed footwear, socks (no sandals) bug spray and sun screen suggested. Bring water, can refill containers at the Hall facilities.
