Historic cricket returns to Fort Anne, August 15 & 16 - The crack of willow on leather will once again be heard in the ‘Ancient Home of Cricket’ in Nova Scotia. On Saturday and Sunday, Fort Anne National Historic Site will host a pair of 20 over cricket matches between the Annapolis County Cricket Club and and Invitation XI. The matches, complete with a traditional tea break between innings, will be contested wearing uniforms of the 1890s. Matches start both days at 1 pm. For those who would like to learn to play Canada's original national sport, introductory workshops will be offered at 10 am on both days. Admission charged to the Officers' Quarters museum.
